What to expect at your first visit:
We are so glad you've booked an appointment with us!
We understand that visiting the orthodontist can seem scary so we make it our top priority to provide you with the best care in a friendly and comfortable setting.
During your first visit, we may take a couple of X-Rays and Pictures of your smile and the inside of your mouth. Dr. Miller will examine your teeth, bite, and jaw. He may ask if you have any problems chewing or swallowing, or if your jaw clicks or pops when you open your mouth. One of our assistants may take impressions or a 3D scan of your mouth to further assess your case if necessary.

This first visit typically lasts 45 minutes to an hour, and at the end, Dr. Miller will discuss with you and your parent/guardian his recommendations for going forward with treatment if there are issues present.
While we can often answer general questions about treatment during the initial visit, we will address specific concerns after carefully reviewing your records.
Here are some sample questions to ask during your visit:

-
Is there a condition that orthodontics can address?
-
Is treatment needed now or should it be delayed?
-
What procedures will be used?
-
Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?
-
How long will treatment take?
-
How much will it cost?
-
What are my payment options?
After the initial visit, we will schedule a follow-up visit to discuss your treatment options, time frames, and financial arrangements.
We want our patients to leave our office with a clear understanding of their orthodontic treatment!
